Words often seem inadequate to convey the profound experiences one undergoes while at an educational institution. For many, their university years mark the beginning of a new chapter. But for me, VSSUT (Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology) was so much more than just another institution. It was a narrative, a journey woven with infinite emotions that continue to resonate within me long after leaving those hallowed grounds behind.
Embracing the University Life
VSSUT, with its 5 letter moniker, is more than just a place to study. For me, it was a timeline of memories. Each bridge, every lecture hall, and every classroom painted a picture of life as a student. The ordinary days that seemed to flow without any particular order now hold a hint of the endless possibilities they held.
A Journey of Endless Exploration
One final day came when the journey seemed more profound than the 4 years I had spent at VSSUT. The river, which once seemed just a few minutes to cross, now stretched into an unending journey. The 8th semester wearily reminded me of the essence this place held for me. Each step on the bridge echoed the profound memories of the place I was saying goodbye to. It seemed as if a part of me chose to remain rooted here forever, like 'Burla' itself, the district where my journey of learning began.
Reflections on Burla
Whenever someone asked the obligatory question, 'Why did you choose VSSUT?', I used to answer, 'Burla.' Now reflecting back, it's clear that Burla was more than just the district; it was a chosen path that took me to VSSUT. Even now, whenever I hear 'Burla,' it evokes a unique sense of emotion deeply rooted within me.
Reflections While Crossing the Bridge
The flashback journey was a testimony to the profound impact VSSUT had on me. As I crossed the bridge, memories gushed forth, colorfully painting a picture of my college life. Every step, every gap in the bridge, carried a tale of laughter, learning, and the essence of being part of an experience that never ends.
Looking Back, Looking Ahead
Finally, as I crossed the river, I couldn't help but look back at the silent, steadfast figure of myself, a part of me still standing on the bridge, gazing at the vast Hirakud dam, the commanding entity over the Mahanadi river. It was a moment of realization; a part of my life had its purpose here. Leaving VSSUT was like taking a deep breath, a quiet smile, and embarking on a new journey to find the purpose of the other half of my life.
The Best Thing I Got at VSSUT
In the end, the best thing I acquired during my time at VSSUT was a purpose. It was the profound journey, the endearing memories, and the unbreakable bonds formed during the years that truly defined my college experience. It's a journey concluded with a deep appreciation and an abiding connection to a place that will forever hold a special place in my heart.
