The Cosmic Realization of Self and Its Evolution

The Cosmic Realization of Self and Its Evolution

Life is a continuous journey of self-discovery and realization. There comes a moment where we truly comprehend our existence and the nature of our being. This realization, however, often transcends the tangible and engages us with the profound depth of our consciousness. This article delves into the profound insights of such a significant realization and its transformative impact.

Cosmic Self-Realization: The Realization of No Fixed Self

One of the most profound realizations one can have is the understanding that the concept of "me" is an illusion. We often equate our existence with our thoughts, but in essence, we are constantly shifting, ephemeral sensations and experiences. This stark insight unravels the fabric of our identity as we traditionally understand it.

"Me" is merely a thought that emerges on autopilot from the memory bank of information. When there is no thought, there are just sensations happening to nobody. Then a thought emerges and says, “I am having the sensations.”

This realization can be a transformative cosmic joke, as it challenges our very understanding of our existence. It invites us to explore the universal truth that we are not fixed entities, but rather, we are in a perpetual state of becoming, always influenced by our thoughts, sensations, and experiences.

From Body and Mind to Unity

A significant part of spiritual and philosophical growth is understanding that we are not just the physical manifestation of our body and mind. Our essence extends beyond the material realm, encompassing all beings, both animate and inanimate.

I am one with all beings – animate and inanimate. Yet I am not confined to the material world. I AM. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AND WILL ALWAYS BE.

This profound realization underscores the unity and interconnectedness of all things, fostering a sense of oneness and unity that transcends individual boundaries.

From Procrastination to Productivity

Our personal history and experiences shape our present state of mind. Reflecting on one's past can be a powerful tool for self-discovery and growth. In my younger years, I experienced firsthand the trials and tribulations of helping my step-father, a hardworking construction foreman, move furniture and appliances. As he aged, he relied more on my strength and knowledge of physics to help him navigate heavy lifts. Now, as the tables have turned, my own sons assist me in heavy moving tasks.

But history repeats itself and ages a batch: now, I need my sons to help me do heavy lifting.

With age comes wisdom, and as I approached retirement, I found ways to harness that wisdom. Cutting down four trees on one of my properties was a testament to the wisdom that aging brings. Instead of physically straining, I opted for simplicity and hired an arborist to prune the trees for me.

When I retired, I cut down four trees on one of my properties. All by myself! Now, instead of me harnessing up, I just pay the arborist to do the pruning.

The Impact of Narcissism

The journey towards self-realization can be fraught with challenges, particularly when facing individuals with narcissistic tendencies. Understanding narcissism and its impact on one’s life can be a daunting yet transformative process. Narcissists often cause significant psychological damage by creating seeds of doubt and self-doubt. Recognizing the need to seek change and healing is a critical step in one's growth.

When you finally learn that they sow seeds of doubt, that’s just the beginning of your change. As nuts as it sounds, those who are narcissistic are quite able to cause a different type of mental problem in others. Welcome to our world.

This realization is a stark reminder of the importance of self-awareness and the need to protect ourselves from harmful influences. Embracing this knowledge can lead to a more profound and self-empowered journey.
