The Challenges Faced by Single Parents: Insights from Personal Experiences
Single parenthood is a complex and often thankless role that comes with its own set of unique challenges. Personal experiences like mine, with my father being a single dad after my mother's departure, highlight the struggles faced by single parents, particularly in the context of societal expectations and social pressures. Social and Societal Pressures

My mother's departure before I was 15 and her untimely death just before I hit 17, coupled with my father's role as a solo parent, brought to the forefront the heavy expectations and rumors that surrounded single parenting. For my father, the rumors about 'emotional incest' meant that people assumed he was inappropriately close with me, which was far from the truth.
