Warmth from a Monday Morning
" "As the warmth of this lovely Sunday morning envelops me, I am prospering and welcoming the calm that comes with a fresh start. I am grateful for the peace and I hope the weather this Sunday is as wonderful as it is for me! Reflecting on the past and the present can often be a serendipitous journey, and today, the dawn of a new week has me reminiscing.
" "My Sunday Reflections
" "The past week brought with it a series of reflections on my past and present. My pastor, who is now retired, came to preach at our church. It was a touching experience as I revisited the spiritual gifts he demonstrated, igniting a wave of nostalgia and reflection. Here are a few poignant moments that made my Sunday:
" "Hayes and Personnel Matters
" "I am doing well, thanks. Reflecting on the day, however, was gently interrupted by a curious query. It seems someone was harassing strangers and asking them personal questions, which is rather unprofessional and intrusive. Here's where I'd like to focus on more meaningful reflections.
" "Back Issues and Daily Comfort
" "Otherwise, things were just fine until I pulled my back out while feeding the cats outside. You never think such a simple action as bending to put food in bowls would lock up your back so badly. I've completely suspended any attempts to untangle it and have hobbled to my recliner. A pillow in the right spot has offered some respite. While this might not be an ideal situation, it's a good excuse to spend some relaxing time in the recliner. I admit, I usually don't have back issues.
" "Relaxing and Family Bonding
" "This morning, I slept in a bit later than usual, a luxury that isn't often in my schedule. Today is my one-year wedding anniversary with my husband, and lately, we've had to push back our travel plans. Nevertheless, we still found some time to go camping last night. It's rare to spend an evening with my kids without the stress of work/school. Camping was amazing. We got to spend quality time together, laughing and talking.
" "I managed to get most of my errands done yesterday, so today is a day to relax. Over the past year, I've felt overwhelmed with family and work, and I haven't focused enough on myself. Lately, I’ve been trying to make more time for my kids, especially now that they are almost done with school for the year. We’ve made some changes that I believe will help us individually and as a family.
" "Today’s plans include spending time with my kids, doing some cleaning, walking the dog, perhaps some exercise, and perhaps planning something for dinner. It’s not bad for a Sunday, especially with all the reflection and family time. Here’s to a peaceful and meaningful week ahead!
