A Personal Journey: Staying Grounded Through Faith
For me, starting my day with reading the Bible and praying as I do my best to follow Jesus Christ's example of how to do life helps make my day go better. It helps me stay focused and remember to help others. By reading the Bible, praying, and following Jesus Christ's example, my personal relationship grows closer, and it brings so much hope, joy, and peace, regardless of what is going on around me or in the world. I want to encourage you to do the same.
“Now therefore be not grieved nor angry with yourselves that ye sold me hither for God sent me before you to preserve life.” (Genesis 45:5)
God uses adversity to develop our character and dependence upon Him. When we ask for His Spirit, He will help us fight doubt and provide the strength to persevere. He works through our trials to bless us and others.
We should also keep in mind that even in the worst of situations, our Father works to accomplish His will. When life hits us hard, we may be tempted to doubt and give up. If our faith starts to waver, we need to think about what He has already given us and then look for evidence of Him at work. Joseph experienced betrayal when his brothers sold him into slavery, later he suffered injustice when imprisoned for doing the right thing. In the end, he realized that God, in His grace, had used those circumstances to rescue his family from a life-threatening famine. God will keep His promises to you in ways you may not understand.
By incorporating spiritual practices and holding onto faith, we can find the strength to stay grounded and balanced in our everyday lives.
