Starting My New Year Off Right: A Detailed Plan for January 1st, 2021

As the old year draws to a close, it's the perfect time to start afresh and set up strong habits for the new year. Beginning January 1st, I plan to take a much-needed day off from the office and spend it on personal enrichment and health goals.

Perfecting My Morning Routine

I will wake up early, around 6 a.m., and begin my day with a cup of tea, sans sugar. Enjoying this outdoors with my husband and dog by the balcony will help me ease into the day. This peaceful start will provide the necessary energy and mental clarity for the subsequent activities.

Focusing on Physical Well-being

Continuing my HIIT workout routine since the lockdown began, I aim to maintain my fitness level with a focus on toning. I have already lost 11 kg and am currently in good shape; now, I will prioritize body toning. Having a nutritious and balanced breakfast to fuel my energizing workout is essential.

Gardening and Cooking Elevate My Days

After the workout, I will immerse myself in some gardening. Planting and maintaining the garden will be a calming and fulfilling activity. Then, I will cook some delicious, healthy meals, preferably focusing on chicken dishes for a hearty and balanced lunch.

Recharging Through Reading and Me-Time

To recharge and engage in personal enrichment, I will read a book, which will be a mindful and enjoyable experience. Enjoying a solitary cup of tea and reading is the perfect way to reset my day. I will also use this time to walk my dog, which will help me break away from the ongoing stressors.

Celebrating Solo Time and Enjoying Woodland Adventures

In the evening, I will indulge in some me-time, watching something on Netflix while cuddling up on the sofa with my husband. We haven't had time for bonding activities this year, and this is a vow I make to myself. We will end the day with more cuddles and a goodnight sleep.

Weekend Adventure: Paragliding and Picnicking

If the night curfew in Maharashtra allows, we will go to Kamshet for an adventure. Starting our day with a thrilling paragliding session and a picnic will add a special touch to this new year.

Embracing Positivity and Moving Forward

As I reflect on the past year, I am filled with a sense of positivity and confidence. I plan to forget the struggles of the past and embrace this new beginning with full enthusiasm. Setting new goals, making an effort, and praying for success in my ambitions will guide me forward. In the end, I will continue my friendship with close friends by sharing breakfast together on New Year's Day. This is a cherished tradition that brings joy and camaraderie.
