Parents can be harsh. I don’t need to make you believe this because you deal with it on a daily basis just like I do. As a 25-year-old who earns more than most of my peers, I live alone, take up my own expenses, cook for myself, and work tirelessly. However, no matter how hard I try, it never feels like enough. Every word my parents say about my life, my weight, my face, or my hair makes me want to cry and scream until my lungs hurt.
The Daily Struggle
Every day feels like a battle to just survive. I often feel like giving up, but the thought of moving on and being truly free keeps me going. I dream of a future where sunshine brings joy and rain makes me want to dance again. It’s my hope that one day, words won’t bother me anymore.
We are human beings; we crave for a family. However, it’s essential to pause, breathe, and work hard. When the days are tough, and words continue to hurt, it’s crucial to find a way to move forward. Raising a family is a tough job, and it’s natural to struggle. When parents behave in a hurtful manner, it signals that they, too, are suffering. This creates a lose-lose situation for everyone involved.

It’s a fact that not all parents are capable of raising kids. You never know what kind of parent you will become unless you become one. Raising a family is a very stressful job. When parents behave in a hurtful manner, it often means they are also suffering. This can create a vicious cycle where nothing improves. The only solution is to bear the pain until the situation improves.
Diverting Attention
One way to deal with this is to immerse yourself in something you like. If you are a good student, focus more on your studies. Engaging in activities you enjoy can help distract you from daily conflicts. Alternatively, if you like sports, play a lot and stay positive. It’s not easy to counter the daily grind with obnoxious settings around you, but there is no other way. Set your goals and work towards them.
Embracing the Spiritual Side
A lot of pain and absurdity in personal life can motivate you to explore the spiritual side of things. Questions like, 'Why am I being punished without any fault of mine?' or 'What is my purpose here on earth?' can make you think about fundamental aspects of human existence. These thoughts can open the gates to a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you. This understanding can provide a lot of relief when objectively understanding life events.
The journey to healing and moving forward is never easy, but it is crucial. By finding our goals, working towards them, and sometimes exploring the spiritual side of life, we can overcome the pain and find freedom.
