Overcoming Depression: Daily Affirmations and Effective Techniques

Hari Om!

Self-motivation is a daily process. Every day, one must motivate themselves by writing and reading affirmations, reading books that boost self-confidence and positivity, avoiding negativity and negative people, and associating more with positive and successful people. One has to make lots of conscious efforts to stay positive throughout the day. Although it is incredibly challenging to stay positive all the time, practice and awareness can help a person achieve this gradually.

Understanding the Power of Affirmations

Depression is a very tricky mental illness. To identify and fight depression, one must be fully aware of their thoughts and mental state. Depression is a cycle of negative thoughts that constantly arise in their mind without the person realizing it. Therefore, the first and foremost thing to combat and cure depression is to be aware of your thoughts and keep a watch on them. Identifying and stopping these thoughts as soon as they arise is crucial.

A Simple and Powerful Technique: The "Decrease" Method

I am sharing a simple yet highly powerful technique called "decrease," which is more effective and provides instant results than positive affirmations. I had a very good experience with this technique in the past and still use it today for various purposes. This technique can be used for depression, anxiety attacks, panic attacks, and any kind of mental or physical ailments. It can also be used for daily stress.

To use the "decrease" method, start by taking a small sip of water and repeating the following statement silently in your mind with focus. For depression, you can say, "Depression, you can leave now." If needed, repeat it several more times. After repeating ten or fifteen times, you will likely experience an immediate shift in your mind. This technique directly works on the consciousness, rapidly changing your mental state with each repetition.

Additionally, you can use this technique for physical problems or even karmic blocks. For example, repeat, "Stress, you can leave now." Then, after repeating for five or more times until you feel some change, take another small sip of water. That's it. It's a simple yet effective method.

I highly recommend this technique over writing positive affirmations, as it provides more immediate and tangible results.

For depression, you can also chant the Gayatri mantra one mala in Brahma Muhurat while taking deep, slow breaths on a white crystal sphatik mala. This is highly effective for curing depression, panic attacks, or any kind of mental illness.

Eating for Mood Boost

Along with these remedies, incorporate green vegetables like leafy greens, lettuce, peppers, and cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, and Brussels sprouts into your daily diet. Berries, tomatoes, avocados, mushrooms, walnuts, milk, and other foods may also help boost your mood. Additionally, apples, bananas, grapefruit, other citrus fruits, fresh berries, and kiwifruit are considered anti-depressive fruits.

Physical Activity and Grounding

Lastly, don't live too much in your head; ground yourself frequently throughout the day. Be aware of your surroundings and be physically active daily. Engage in yoga or gym to move your energy and sweat, as this is a significant secret to fighting depression effectively and quickly. Go for a walk or jog in the morning or evening, breathe in some fresh air, and deep breathing will calm your mind instantly and change your thought patterns.

Additionally, spending time in nature is crucial. Nature has the greatest capacity to heal depression and all types of mental illnesses. Walk barefoot on green grass whenever you have the opportunity, as this provides instantaneous grounding. When I have time, I walk on green grass in my apartment.

Connecting with Divinity

Lastly, have faith in God. God can heal your mind, body, and soul in no time. Engage in spiritual practices daily, whether it's in the morning or evening, and connect with the highest divine energy. Trust in the divine and its healing powers.

In conclusion, overcoming depression requires a combination of mental, physical, and spiritual practices. Commit to these strategies, and you will see a positive shift in your life.
