My Transformation in 2021: A Journey of Self-Improvement

2021 is a year when I am discovering the best version of myself through a series of personal changes and self-improvement. This journey has been both challenging and rewarding, and I am proud of the progress I have made.

From Procrastination to Productivity

My journey of change began when I realized the negative impact of my past habits. I used to procrastinate, spend hours binge-watching Netflix, scrolling through Instagram, and avoiding studies for extended periods. This pattern of behavior had lasted for three months, and I had not touched my studies for 90 days. It was time for a new approach.

Shifting Focus and Priorities

A crucial turning point was my decision to quit social media use altogether. I ceased using platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat four months ago. Now, I only use NowMe and Quora twice a week, primarily to help others. This change has allowed me to focus more on personal development and meaningful interactions.

Financial Discipline and Health

My new approach also includes a focus on financial discipline. I have started saving money and investing in myself. This has led to an improved and consistent healthy lifestyle, including regular workouts and nutritious diets. I wake up at 4 am without the need for an alarm, thanks to the 'pillow effect' trick. I avoid using my phone until I am fully prepared and have completed my morning workout and meal preparation, which typically takes place around 9 am.

Commitment to Continuous Learning and Development

I allocate three hours daily for studying purposes, dedicating one hour to reading novels. Additionally, I spend another three hours on subjects like Programming and Coding (PCM). In my PCM sessions, I write down difficult vocabulary, search for their meanings, and revise them regularly to improve my long-term memory retention.

Healthy Habits and Mindfulness

My commitment to a healthy lifestyle extends beyond exercise. I always take a 10-minute walk after each meal and spend 10 minutes in the Yajasana (Child’s Pose) position to aid digestion. Meditation has become an integral part of my daily routine, and I practice it for 10 minutes each day. Starting this 15 days ago, I plan to extend this practice further.

Gratitude and Helping Others

I have also learned to value family over temporary friendships. Family is everything, and I choose to be precise in who I spend time with. Outings are often filled with thoughts of others. I regularly buy food for street children and donate food to them, often celebrating my birthday with them. This practice brings joy to their faces and a sense of belonging.

Lifelong Learning and Language Acquisition

Making self-improvement a habit, I started learning a new language, Norwegian, which I aim to master by the end of the year. This new skill adds an exciting dimension to my life and challenges me to think creatively and expand my cultural horizons.

Community and Positive Impact

Every morning, I feed stray animals during my walk, which brings a sense of fulfillment. I also began YouTube content creation, which has received positive responses, leading to over 800 subscribers in just five days. This has not only improved my skills but also connected me with a broader audience.

Achieving Balance in Life

Despite the rigorous changes, I still dedicate time to family and other personal skills like sketching, beatboxing, photography, and social skills. It is important to remember that such a regimented lifestyle is not typical but rather a method to align habits with goals. By giving yourself a chance to change, you can witness remarkable transformations.

So, take a moment to identify areas in your life that need improvement and make a commitment to change. Start small and gradually build a new, more fulfilling life for yourself.
