Jehovah's Witnesses: Understanding their Beliefs and Approach to Others
In my conversations, I aim to engage in a wholesome dialogue where both parties seek truth together. I would never challenge someone's faith unless that is the intended focus of our discussion, as it would be disrespectful and intolerant.
Core Beliefs and Scripture
We believe that the Bible is God’s word and instructs us how to live our day-to-day lives as well as how we are to relate to God and serve Him. Our beliefs are rooted in the teachings of the Bible, which we consider to be the ultimate guide for understanding God's will and principles.
We respect the individuality of personal beliefs and practices. We do not challenge anyone’s personal beliefs. Instead, we offer biblical information and let people decide for themselves whether to accept or reject this information. All that we seek to do is provide information that can lead others to consider the teachings of the Bible with open minds.
Our Mission and Calls to Action
Our goal is to help others understand the truth that we believe is found in the Bible. We believe that God has a special calling for those who will share the good news with others. When we freely share information and encourage others to consider the teachings of the Bible, we are not trying to force beliefs upon anyone. Our desire is to help illuminate the path to understanding and accepting God's truth.
The Bible teaches us that many people are "blinded" to the truth, unable to see it clearly. It is our belief that when people receive God's truth, they should hold onto it tightly. Satan works hard to tempt people and steal away this treasure, so it's important to be vigilant and hold firmly to the truth once it is received.
Understanding Divine Initiative
According to our beliefs, it is God who picks those who will accept the gift of truth. This is similar to how He chose the disciples, selecting those who, in His eyes, were ready to receive and understand His divine message. It is our role to share the truth when we are given the opportunity, but it is ultimately up to each individual to accept or reject the message.
2Corinthians 4:4 states, “For the god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” This verse highlights how many people are blinded by their own presuppositions and cannot see the truth that is presented to them.
Conclusion
As the end approaches, it becomes even more crucial to share the truth that we believe can bring hope and salvation to those who receive it. We strive to communicate this truth in a way that is both respectful and truthful, without attempting to force beliefs upon others.
