From Poppers and Wristbands to Gelled Fringes: A Journey Through My Childhood
Looking back at my childhood and teenage years, I've noticed how my appearance has changed drastically over the years. In this article, I'll share some interesting pictures and stories from my past that showcase my evolving appearance and identity.
Adorable Toddler with Chubby Cheeks
When I was a toddler, I was absolutely adorable! I had chubby cheeks, a button nose, pretty eyes, and a sweet smile. My shoulder-length hair came with cute bangs. Here's a little snippets from those times:
I have a picture where I'm on the left, and my brothers are to my right. The missing one is my second-oldest, Gerard, and my eldest brother, Richard Rich, is in the middle. My fraternal twin, Chris, is right next to him. Here’s another picture of me and my brothers in school uniforms:

As I grew up, my appearance went through a series of changes. Starting with my childhood in the 90s, I had typical tracksuits with poppers up the legs. Eventually, I went through a phase where I was an ‘emo,’ characterized by a side fringe covering one eye, thick eyeliner, and gelled wristbands. Here are some pictures showcasing those changes:
A Picture to Remember: The Boy-Dress-Up Moment
At age ten, I remember asking my mother to take a picture of me dressed like a girl. Initially, she was reluctant, but I begged for it and eventually she agreed. Here's that picture:
Current Appearance and Embracing Myself
Now at age 26, I look much different from my childhood self. I am still chubby, but I have kept the same colored hair as before. I don't focus much on my appearance and just make sure it's neat and without any snide remarks. Sometimes, I tie my hair in a bun, and other days, I spent some effort brushing it.
From poppers and wristbands to gelled fringes, my journey is a reflection of personal development and self-expression.
