Career Transformation Later in Life: Success and Reflection
As I reflect on my journey from my early school days to my current academic pursuits, I find myself torn between the paths I could have taken and the choices I actually made. My early interest in mechanical engineering gave way to a series of decisions that led me towards a career in commerce, ultimately culminating in a career in teaching and the pursuit of a Bachelor's degree.
Early Beginnings and Academic Challenges
From my school days, I had a strong inclination towards mechanical engineering. This passion, however, was not reflected in my exam scores during O-levels, where I did not achieve my desired results. Despite this, I did not lose my enthusiasm and, with the encouragement of my uncle, I pursued my high school in Commerce. This decision was influenced by both familial advice and my own aspirations to explore a different academic path.
During my 11th grade, I chose Accounting, Mathematics, and Economics as my majors, and I managed to excel in these subjects. At this point, I had a thought that I wanted to pursue a unique path, beyond the traditional BBA and MBA, and decided to opt for Chartered Accountancy. Unfortunately, my path was derailed due to a medical condition, which forced me to abandon my studies temporarily.
A Journey of Passion and Fulfillment
While my academic journey was interrupted, my passion for teaching blossomed. Teaching as a home tutor provided me with immense satisfaction as it allowed me to guide young generations toward finding their true vocations amidst a sea of information overload. My journey in teaching began with one student, and over six years, that individual progressed to university level. Throughout this period, I also had the opportunity to teach a few more students and share my knowledge in a classroom setting, although these opportunities were not permanent. The highlight of my teaching experience came when I successfully completed the entire economics syllabus within a month, a task that came with immense pressure but was ultimately rewarded as the students celebrated their clear understanding of the course material.

Currently, I am enrolled in a prestigious university, pursuing a Bachelor's degree. My academic journey over the years has left me with a wealth of experiences and unique insights.
