To find something like this, where water and marble blend so perfectly, is truly a rare experience. The marble rocks, with the water reflecting off them, offer a tranquil atmosphere that can be seen in the picture.
Indicative of a Cultural Celebration: Onam and Pookalam
On August 31, 2020, marked the Onam festival, a cultural celebration in Kerala which holds significant importance. However, the festive spirit was dampened due to the ongoing situation. Usually, the festival would see individuals using an excessive amount of flowers to create intricate Pookalams, traditional flower carpets. Unfortunately, this year, we were limited in our resources, unable to buy the usual quantity of flowers. As a result, we had to stick to a simple circular design, reminiscent of the basic approach needed when back to basics is necessary.
Despite the limitations, I was thrilled with the outcome and often enjoyed proudly admiring it. The photo captures not only the beauty of the Pookalam but also the resilience and positivity in making the most of a challenging situation. It's a moment I will cherish forever.
